A Bear called Paddington by Michael Bond-Review

A Bear called Paddington by Michael Bond – review:

The story is related to Paddington train station where Mr and Mrs Brown, who went there to pick up their daughter, meet a bear with a label tied to him asking for someone to look after him. After a brief introduction to the bear, which they decide to call Paddington, the Browns decide to invite the marmalade-eating bear into their home. This name was given to bear due to reason it met at Paddington station. It was warm summer season with having crowd of people at station.

Mrs Brown noticed a bear at station and told her husband. Her husband adjusted his glasses and replied that don’t be silly. Then Mr Brown hold his wife’s arm and through the crowd went toward the bear. There on a corner where light was dim saw a bear. Bear after noticing stood up and raise his hat and said “Good Afternoon” and good afternoon replied Mr Brown.

Then bear said that i was living with my aunt Lucy in Peru, but she had to go in home where retired bears live. They ask the bear if he wants to stay with the Brown family, the bear politely replies yes, so the bear is named after the station, Paddington. So, Paddington keeps having adventures – for example falling in tubs of hot water, creating havoc underground in the subway stations, having funny shopping expeditions, painting first prize paintings by accident, becoming an actor in a theater and dropping marmalade sandwiches on top of people’s heads in the theatre, going to the seaside and sailing in buckets all day long and making eggs disappear and making them reappear under peoples bums.
