” Charlotte’s Web” is written By an American writer E.B. White. It was published in October 15, 1952. It is a lovely novel which can be understand by all age groups. This novel is totally aimed at native English speaking children. This famous book is equally popular among the children and adults. The story is about a girl named Fern, a pig named Wilbur and a spider called Charlotte. They all live on a farm and  Fern is much horrified when she come to know that Wilbur as a piglet is to be slaughtered. She rescues Wilbur only then to have him sent away from her to her uncle’s farm. Where he is friendless and snubbed by the other animals except Charlotte, a spider.

Charlotte is very kind and helpful to everyone, even a pig who is about to die. The most interesting part is when Charlotte’s eggs hatch and they all leave apart but from three of them who stay with the pig and finally will forever remain there because they don’t want to leave.

The pig is saved by a little girl called Fern Arable,  She gives him the name Wilbur. Pig was decided to kill because he is the smallest pig that was born and he is considered to be useless and of no value. When Wilbur grows up and has to be sent away to a farm owned by her uncle. Charlotte the spider knows that the farmers are planning to kill Wilbur. She promises to make a plan to save his life.

To my opinion it is a best book for over 10 to 11 years children. It teaches affection, love, care devotions that is not only in the quality of human but also animals have these humanly feelings. You can also check”How Children Succeed” by Paul Tough by clicking here.
